Chocolate protein ice cream

Looking for a new protein-packed snack to add to your muscle-building diet plan? Then add this home-made high-protein ice cream recipe to your meal plan for the perfect summer-time snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 scoops chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1/3 cup milk (or unsweetened almond milk)
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs
  • 1 small banana

Add some extra flavour with: 1 tbs natural peanut butter or almond butter or 1 shot of chilled espresso

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in a blender and mix on high speed.
  • Decant contents into two cups or a bowl and place into freezer until firm (around 45 min).

The perfect post-workout snack after a tough session in a hot gym.

Total protein content: 32g per serving
